Good Morning Cheyenne

Sunrise over Motel 6

Omaha to Cheyenne

Today started off with Bailey’s, a nice little breakfast place that uses the “Serenity by Jan” font made famous by the season four, episode 13 of The Office (Steve Carell version.) Did you know there was an actual site for the candles? Go on, waste a few minutes, you are already on the internet.

The day was full of cows, Sinclair gas stations, cows, farms, naps, food that makes us sick, horses, The Pony Express, and burgers made of cows (and maybe horses.) We stopped at a huge antique shop where we wanted to buy everything. Too bad we have too many things as it is and they are crammed into our parent’s poor houses. I still couldn’t resist the urge to purchase a great mustard gingham vintage apron. I may have to wear it on the flight though, because my checked bag is exactly the 50 lb max. And I have to say, Tina Fey’s audiobook of  “Bossypants”  made the pretty boring, flat farmlandly drive pretty darn enjoyable.

Besides Tina, Kent has been a great driving partner. It really feels like we have each other back. Preparing for this move has been kinda rough, stressful and exhausting, so it’s nice to have just the drive to focus on. It’s actually been pretty fun!

To sum up things though, right now, I feel disgusting. My stomach feels like it is digesting itself. Right now we are wondering if we should go run over to the Outback Steakhouse that is a few parking lots over or if we should stay in this gorgeous Days Inn for the night. Why did we settle on the fancy Days Inn, you ask? All of the hotels were booked, so at this magnificent D.I. we totally scored The Family Suite. It sleeps 6-8. There are two bunk beds, so I think that building a fort tonight is unavoidable.

I think I may go puke up my Wendy’s chicken nuggets right now. I also think I have the West Nile virus, being that I was just chomped on by a mosquito on my way in. Looking forward to our Rocky Mountain day tomorrow!
